Find great resources to engage, entertain, and teach kids with our recommendations for physical fitness, nutrition, gardening and mindfulness activities families can use at home, inside and outdoors. If you need help explaining health measures to your kids, you'll also find kid-friendly videos to help explain about the coronavirus, the need to wear a mask, wash hands, and keep six feet of distance.

Partnership for a Healthy uses fresh produce and products from local farms to teach kids about nutrition in afterschool programming, Harvest of the Month and Farm to School/Farm to You. These programs lets kids taste test food to help them develop healthy eating habits. This month, dairy products are featured, and this video shows how cheese and yogurt is made from goats' milk featuring some adorable baby goats.

After 13 years in the same format, Partnership for a Healthy Lincoln (PHL) is putting their annual outreach festival, Streets Alive! on hiatus while they reimagine and refresh it. People can continue to find support resources and creative ideas on the PHL website to help improve the health, safety, and vitality of their neighborhoods.
Getting prenatal care as early as possible substantially lowers the risk of birth defects as well as infant and maternal death. Nebraska's rates are not good. Partnership for a Healthy Nebraska, UNMC, Creighton Medical School, and others have created a strategy with concrete steps to improve access and education.
Heart disease is still the #1 killer of men and women. The American Heart Association - Nebraska has contributed to the health of Nebraskans in several ways including grants for heart research to the Uni. of Nebraska (Lincoln and Omaha) and UNMC.
