Opening Doors to a Healthier Aging Experience

Aging Partners’ mission is to enhance daily living, expand personal choices and to educate the community to ensure the independence and full life of the people served.  Aging Partners encourages seniors to take measures that decrease risk, promote optimum health and encourage independent living.  The 2023 Health and Fitness focus is on injury and disease prevention while offering more evidence-based programs, fall prevention programs, and practices that enhance strength, balance, flexibility, and mental clarity.  Download an informational sheet about Aging Partners' services.

Commit to Getting Fit in 2023

Many New Year’s resolutions are made where follow-through is lacking.  Aging Partners Health and Fitness wants to help you get fit and stay fit and help you follow through on your goals for 2023.  In addition to the Health and Fitness Center, Aging Partners also offers a wide variety of fitness classes at locations throughout the community.  Classes include Qigong Yoga and Tai Chi.  Exercise class movements are excellent for building strength, improving mental clarity, and increasing balance and core stabilization.

Aging Partners Health and Fitness has worked with LNKTV Health to increase viewing options for those interested in adding extra minutes to their fitness routines. A wide variety of 10-minute, 30-minute and one hour exercise routines are available on Aging Partners’ YouTube channel.

Try Some Qigong

Aging Partners Fitness Center
The Aging Partners Fitness Center, 555 S. 9th St., includes exercise equipment along with the opportunity to schedule an appointment with a personal trainer.  The Fitness Center is open to the public weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. offering cardio, strength, flexibility, balance, and core fitness equipment.  Trainers are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays by appointment at no charge. Drop-in any time for a free tour! 

Aging Partners promotes fitness practices such as Tai Chi, Qigong, Yoga and dance. These movements are excellent for building strength, improving mental clarity, and increasing balance and core stabilization.  In 2022, evidence-based strength training and fall prevention programs will be emphasized.
