LNKTV Health Programs focus on
Mental Wellbeing, Eating Healthy, Local Produce

LNKTV Health is Lincoln’s health and wellness channel and has remained dedicated to providing reliable and relevant health information across the city, and beyond.  Since 2011, it has produced nearly 2000 videos on topics ranging from women’s health to exercise programs for all ages and COVID-19 education.

Beginning in 2023, LNKTV Health began a collaboration with Partnership for a Healthy Lincoln and Nebraska Department of Education to create two short video series aimed at elementary and pre-school students.  The “From Farm to You” series takes youth to local farms growing fresh and healthy produce or meat, while the “Harvest of the Month” series illustrates simple ways for teachers and other viewers to prepare that food in the classroom or home.

In 2025, another food-related partnership with the Mayor’s Community Committee on Local Food and Bryan Health’s Master Chef Nazim Khan inspired “The Resilient Table.”  This 7-part series introduces viewers to the City of Lincoln’s Local Food System Plan and takes them to a farm, garden, market and ultimately the kitchen.  Viewers can learn how to buy the freshest produce or grow it themselves, cook delicious dishes, and store their food to save money and reduce waste.

In response to a priority from the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP), the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department teamed up with LNKTV Health and community partners to create a 6-part video series “6 Pillars for Emotional Wellbeing: A Parent’s Guide.”  This series reinforces the skillsets of sleep, physical activity, nutrition, relational connectedness, mastery, and quieting, to grow emotional health for kids, parents, and their families to thrive.  Launched in June of 2025 and new videos will be made public at the end of each following month.
