You're Invited - Birthday Celebration  MilkWorks is turning 25 this year and this milestone is about so much more than a number. For 25 years, MilkWorks has walked alongside families with a deep belief that no one should have to figure feeding out alone. Join them at their family fun birthday party to celebrate with the families, staff, donors, and community members who have shaped their story on Saturday, August 8th from 10am-1pm at Camp Carol Joy Holling, 27416 Ranch Road, Ashland, NE. Activities include brunch, face painting, bounce castles, yard games, boating, high ropes and zip lines, and more. MilkWorks' Mission: Empowering and Advocating for Families  MilkWorks' mission is to create a healthier community by empowering families in Nebraska to reach their breastfeeding goals. Since opening in 2001, MilkWorks has been a trusted source of expert, compassionate breastfeeding support. Once challenging, access to lactation care and breast pumps has now expanded, thanks in part to the Affordable Care Act. While these changes have led to significant improvements, many families still face barriers to the support they need. MilkWorks remains committed to breaking down those barriers through advocacy, innovation, and accessible care. Every family deserves individualized support because every family's journey is unique.  MilkWorks provides evidence-based care that meets parents where they are and supports them in reaching their personal feeding goals.  As the need for services has grown, so has MilkWorks. In 2015, a second location was opened in Omaha and have continued expanding their reach through outreach programs in communities across Nebraska.

Milkworks Services MilkWorks offers many free and low barrier resources and a wide variety of virtual services, including telehealth lactation care.

• Lactation Consultations – Expert care from International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC’s), comprehensive feeding assessment and continuous follow-up care. By appointment, Mon. – Sat., in-person or virtually.
• Support Groups & Classes –  MilkWorks offers free and low cost classes that cover a variety of subjects, adding more classes and groups every year. Check out their event calendar.
• Breastfeeding Information Center - available online 24/7, is based on years of experience, current best practices, and the latest research on lactation care. The Information Center features over 100 individual resources.
• Personal Use Breast Pumps – MilkWorks offers a selection of high-quality breast pumps. Drop in or have your breast pump shipped to you. MilkWorks Breastfeeding Educators are on site to help with any questions about your breast pump purchase. Curbside pick-up for convenience. Check out their over 20 Pump Access Programs across the state.
