Life’s a Hit When You’re Feeling Fit!
Many New Year’s resolutions are made where follow-through is lacking. Aging Partners Health and Fitness can help you attain your goals in 2026. In addition to the new Schmieding Center for Active Living fitness center, Aging Partners offers fitness classes at locations throughout the community. Classes include QiGong, Dance for Life, Chair Yoga, Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention, and Strong Bodies Strength Training Program.  Aging Partners Health and Fitness also works with LNKTV Health for those interested in enhancing their fitness routines at home. A wide variety of exercise routines are also available on Aging Partners YouTube channel.

Schmieding Center for Active Living a Big Hit with Clients
When Aging Partners moved into their new headquarters at Victory Park, 600 S 70th St, in May 2023, they knew their new Schmieding Fitness Center would be a popular destination for clients in search of a healthier aging experience. Since the relocation, their fitness center clientele has increased by over 400 percent.

A big highlight has been the addition of state-of-the-art, pneumatic (air-powered) Keiser brand strength equipment, which is specially designed for older adults. Keiser equipment is easy to use--weights are adjusted with the push of a button. Cardio equipment includes NuStep recumbent cross-trainers, exercise bikes, treadmills, an elliptical machine, and a Helix lateral training bike. They also offer a Hypervibe whole-body vibration platform. There is something at the fitness center for everyone, regardless of ability and fitness level. There is a $10/month suggested contribution for individuals 60 and over to use the fitness center, which includes appointments with a personal trainer for no additional charge.

The new Victory Park location also features a new in-house Health Promotion Clinic, which is part of their long, ongoing partnership with the UNMC College of Nursing. The clinic offers foot care services as well as bone density screening, blood glucose screening, blood pressure and cholesterol checks, ear wax removal and health education. Clinic services are provided by supervised student nurses and/or staff RNs. A $25 suggested contribution helps keep these programs running. Appointment are required by calling 402-441-7506.

The future is bright for those 60 and over who want a healthier aging experience. The Schmieding Center for Active Living is open to the public on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please call 402-441-7575 for more information and to sign up for services.
