Domestic Violence Support Program
El Centro's Domestic Violence Support Program provides a safe, welcoming, and confidential space for individuals affected by domestic violence. Participants have the opportunity to connect with others, share experiences, receive encouragement, and learn about helpful community resources. The group meets on the last Tuesday of every month and is open to anyone seeking support in a respectful and compassionate environment. Whether you are looking for guidance, understanding, or simply a place where you can be heard, you are welcome to join. Latino Leadership Youth Program
El Centro's Latino Leadership Youth Program empowers young people to become confident leaders, make positive choices, and achieve their academic and personal goals. The program provides a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where youth can grow, build meaningful relationships, and celebrate their cultural identity and build the skills they need to succeed in the future in school, the workplace, and in the community.
The program serves students in grades 6–12 through weekly workshops, leadership development activities, community service opportunities, educational field trips, mentorship, and case management. Participants learn valuable life skills while developing confidence, responsibility, and respect for themselves and others. Workshop topics include healthy relationships, leadership, goal setting, bullying prevention, stress and anger management, job readiness, college preparation, team building, and violence prevention. Latino Festival 2026
Lincoln is getting ready for one of its most colorful community celebrations as the annual Latino Festival returns on Saturday, September 12, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Antelope Park–Auld/Shildneck Bandshell. This free, family-friendly event invites everyone to experience the music, food, dance, art, and traditions that showcase the richness and diversity of Latino cultures. Each year, the festival brings together thousands of visitors for an afternoon filled with live entertainment, authentic cuisine, cultural performances, local vendors, and activities for all ages. It is an opportunity not only to celebrate Latino heritage but also to strengthen the community connections.
